We started production on the Album April 6th, 2009 at True Tone Recordings in Nashville, TN with David Henry. This Album was produced by both David and Mathew Burgess. Hello,This album has been a work in process. After writing the songs, Matt and I spent many of nights taking and giving to the work; it was a long sometimes tiring ordeal. To write a good song sometimes it may take 2 years, sometimes it may take 1 day, but it is always a maze of obstacles to bring that song out in a record the way you want it. It takes time effort, MONEY, and genuine friends that care about what you are doing to push you further than you think you should go. There were some great musicians on this thing and it was a genuine project. Every musician who came in really cared about the song and wanted it perfect. This really gave me new hope in people and especially Nashville musicians. I met some great people including Mr. David Henry who was so much fun. I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking about doing an album needing a musician or just a great friend who's sayings will keep you laughing through your time together. He is a wonderful family man, a good friend, and he really makes your eight hour days in the studio fun. Even though he is from Macon Georgia he is really cool. ha ha After talking with him about my favorite musicians; I found he has played with recorded or knows a few. Ben Folds, Jars of Clay, Tim McGraw, and Guster to name a few. I already miss David, but I know he is the type of guy I will always remain friends with even after the project is over. Matt Pierson came in to do the bass guitar parts, and he is one of the best studio musicians in Nashville. Every song before he even listened, he would ask;"what is the song about, what does it mean to you?" Matt really wanted to do the right things to each song. A great guy who I was proud to meet and have on the album. Josh Leo who used to be Jimmy Buffett's lead guitarist did our lead stuff. We got to hear some great road stories from him, and I found out a lot of things about Jimmy and Miami Vice that I never knew. Josh is producing and managing some bands now, and this guys knows his stuff. He is a really cool guy to get to know and was a blast to have in the studio. If you ever meet him ask him about the box Jimmy Buffett built for him. Billy Nobel played keys for us. This guy came in and knew exactly what the songs needed. When I listened to what he was doing, I honestly danced in the studio. Billy was a lot of fun and you can catch him with many well know musicians in Nashville. Billy will be playing live with us on a few. Jimmy Bowland can play just about anything that you want. This guy has great tone, pitch and quality and he wants it to be perfect for you. David introduced this guy to us and what a great pick up he was for the album. Jimmy teaches music in college and keeps groving in Nashville with some well know musicians. Mathew Burgess really was the corner stone of this project. He got the musicians together and made all this happen. Mathew plays drums with us and he has been a really good friend for about 3 years. I honestly could not have done this with out him. He took a lot of his own time and money and put it into this thing and really took this thing and carried it. When he and I sat and talked about this project before it began I really don't think we imagined it to be this big, but after losing about 3 months worth of sleep, time and money, I know we both feel it was well worth it. Matt really has helped me as a musician and I can not thank him enough for everthing he does. This guy is the real deal; he moved here from Seattle and is a working muscian. If you know anything about the music scene in Nashville that should tell you how talented he is. Matt and I will be friends for a long time, as long as he never grows his hair back out. I know I am a lucky man. I have great parents and siblings who support me. I have friends that push me to be better, and I have a wonderful woman in my life that I will tell 200 times a day how much I need her. I have two new kids one is eight months and one is 6 years old; they love my music because they can't tell when I am out of tune yet. God hears me and answers the prayers that need answering. I have fans that come out and hear me play and with out them, there never would have been anything. I have tried to be an honest man to everyone I know. Sometimes I may not call you back or even get to say hello when you are out to see me, but I love you all. Thank you to everyone on the album and to everyone who will buy it.
